5 April 20:00
Philharmonie Berlin Kammermusikaal
On April 5th, the music of the iconic Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi from the full-length animated film "Princess Mononoke" by the famous Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki will be played at the Berliner Philharmonie.

It is hard to imagine Miyazaki’s animated films without the music of Joe Hisaishi. It seems like the music is what vivifies the anime heroes, breathing new life into them and endowing with soul. In the anime "Princess Mononoke", the composer’s melodies perfectly complement the drama of the young Prince Ashitaka, who brought upon himself a severe curse and is forced to embark on a dangerous adventure in order to realize that the hardest battle he’ll ever had to fight, is against himself.

The musicians of Simple Music Ensemble World perform Hisaishi’s music in their own arrangements, going along with the audience on a magical journey through the worlds of the great storyteller Hayao Miyazaki. This is the program, that will be of interest for all the family!

Simple Music Ensemble World is a Chamber Music Community that raises concerts on the world’s best stages and unites professional musicians from different countries who sincerely love their work. The team is multifaceted and is continuously developing, introducing new ideas, expanding the boundaries of their creative activity.
